Was talking with my sister the other night who is on the board of Troupe du Jour, a non-profit theatre group in the Seattle area, and she mentioned that they were in need of unpublished, small-cast scripts (1-2 players) for possible future projects. I know I've got quite a few writers on my friends list, so I thought I'd mention it. Anyway, check out the website (although it appears to be desperately in need of an update), contact & submission information for the group is there.

Does unpublished mean "never performed?" If not, do you think they'd consider Jump! for one of their pieces?

Yup. Yours was the one that first sprang to mind while I was talking with her. I told her a bit about it. Obviously, it's a bit short to stand on its own, but with a couple of other one acts...

Yes, the website is in desperate need of updating! (I'm not in charge of that, or it would be in better shape.) By unpublished we mean just that. Previously performed is perfectly OK. There is a submissions address on the website, but since I will be directing whatever we do next, sending directly to me at chryste@troupedujour.org is even better.

We're considering a late-night run in Seattle, possibly only Saturday nights, so "zany" and/or "edgy" are probably good adjectives to describe what we're looking for. Sexual content is encouraged (but certainly not required)- we love unusual stuff, and so does our target audience. We also need the cast to be at least one woman, no more than 2 people total.

P.S. Thanks for the plug, sis!
