duchessnora and spiritlady (aka BossLady). Lots and lots of Boxes were delivered to me last weekend, making this whole thing possible.
I got a lot done yesterday. Most of the kitchen is packed. Foodstuffs, pots and pans, and a few random tupperware and cups seem to be all that's left there. The upstairs bathroom still needs to have the majority of it's contents stuffed into a box, but I'm pretty sure it will all fit in one. There are still clothes in the closet in the bedroom, but that's really all that's in there now. One big box should cover everything but the immediate necessities. And then, there's the DVD collection in the living room and the downstairs bathroom (which I think mostly contains hardware and cleaining supplies, thus making it the logical last thing to pack.)
For Saturday, a 10' U-haul (Ulul) truck has been donated to the cause. With that and the other vehicles, there shouldn't be a need for multiple trips between apartments. I'm not sure yet where and when on Saturday I'll be picking up the truck, but I'm thinking moving should be able to start by 9 or 9:30. I'll post an update further in the week.
The former tenant still hasn't turned off his phone service! SBC called his cell phone today and left a message for him. If they haven't made contact with him by tomorrow or Wednesday, I'll have to call back and have them fax or call Whisler to confirm that he has vacated. My service, however, has been ordered, just placed on a hold until they can shut off the old line.
I need to call ComCast still. I think that's the last setup call I need to make, then all will be good.
I'm getting really excited and anxious. I'm ready to move. I hate moving, but I'm so ready to be in my own space. I keep wanting to take things over to the new place, and I get annoyed that I can't do that until Friday.
Meanwhile, if anyone has any suggestions on how to teach/convince kitties to use a litterbox with a swinging door, please throw them out at me.
