Ground Transportation

Heh. I had $20 in gift certificates at Amazon, which I spent yesterday. As in, I placed an order yesterday. I checked today to see if it had shipped, and the Amazon website confirmed that it had shipped today and had an estimated delivery date of Dec 21. Then I clicked the UPS tracking button on the webpage, and saw that Michael had signed for it about an hour ago.

I just wonder, if I had paid for the express shipping, would some sort of time portal have opened up and delivered it to me three days ago?

I placed an order for two things last Thursday....one I got on Tuesday and the other I am still waiting for. Did you use their free shipping for orders over $25?

No free shipping for me since toys don't qualify, apparently, but it was still standard ground.

I usually don't have that much delay with the free either though. Maybe they didn't ship out as soon as they had promised?

Last I could track, it left the Richmond USPS center on the evening of Dec 15th. If I don't get it soon, I shall be mad because the other part of the shipment was a gift for myself so I could get free shipping while the so-far MIA package is part of Jordan's Christmas gift.

Alright, the second package arrived ten minutes ago. I am not so mad at Amazon anymore.

You know what? If you'd paid for express shipping it would have come after Christmas.

You're probably right. Or if the time portal had opened, it might have miscalculated and delivered it in 1996, in which case, I'm sure I'd have lost it in my many moves since then.
