Interesting. I have no problems whatsoever with the song "Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun," however the song "The Cat is Dead" upsets me greatly.

(please to note also, i cry at the end of Breakfast at Tiffany's, not because of the romance, but because they can't find the cat and i'm worried about him)

Have you heard the terribly funny (and I mean that in both senses) "Kill a Kitten" song by Stephen Lynch?

No, I haven't. Will it make me cry, too?

Quite possibly, but I'm not sure. It's so over the top that it makes me laugh, but with a very guilty conscience for finding it funny. here's an example line for you to judge by (imagine the happy bouncy music to go along with it): "If the one you love isn't quite as smitten, she'll love you better if you kill a kitten."

Hmm. It might be okay if it doesn't give any details on the act of kitten killing, or description of the dead kitten itself, or suggest turning it into a pie. That's the stuff that, even in silly comedy, I have trouble with.

I love the cat is dead. I don't know why.

Do you remember that McDonalds commercial where the little kid collects all the change to buy his mother a happy meal? THAT makes me cry.

I kinda remember that one.

I think I may be thinking of a different the cat is dead song.

I think it's the same one, cuz I've heard you singing it. Danny Elfman seems to be responsible for the version I have, if you believe the label on the file. Maybe the words are different.

Kittens are cute! Cats can be pretty.
BUT...as far as I'm concerned.......DOGS RULE!
Yes...grew up with dogs. Plus after yesterday....I definitely am not a cat person.
Linda's cat just HAD to knock her litter box over. ALL OVER the floor.
At least the dogs' mess is left outside!

Had a very detailed response about how much cats rule, but then the power went out at work, taking all the computers down with it (emergency generators much>?), so I'll just leave it at "Cats Rule! Dogs Drool!"

NO..power didn't go out! Dogs CUT the power!
Ever notice how DOGS are always sidekicks? Astro, Scooby-Doo, Dino, Dino-Mutt. That's because cats have no special powers! =P

Cats are not sidekicks because it would be beneath them. They prefer to quietly rule the world, using humans as their unknowing puppets.

No..using weak humans! =P
Hence DOG OWNERS are the true rulers of the universe!
NOW....kneel before ZOD!

Dogs smell bad and need to be walked. :D

I JUST received this response from you. =0
So..I'll say....dogs can walk themselves, with a yard.
Cats claw things up, have litter boxes you have to replace, male ones spray everything. AND they don't learn tricks!

Ahem. Some cats claw things up, some cats have litter boxes, I have never had a cat who sprayed anything, and my cat fetches. Besides, who cares about tricks? That's just a way of forcing your dominance on an innocent pet.

My dog trained herself. I shit you not. She even herds the cat of the house back inside to safety when she goes running out across the street.
Plus she's a pretty little Diva. =)
