Friday and Saturday, I had alone time. Time with nothing scheduled, nowhere I had to be, no one expecting me. So, I took myself to a soppy romantic movie,
The Prince and Me. Reviewers hated it, I liked it.
Saturday morning, I woke with 24 solid hours to go before I was due anywhere. I emailed Kevin, did a little laundry, shampooed the carpet on the stairs, watched part of
Lawrence of Arabia, abandoned the movie for a video game which swallowed up an unclear number of hours, then chatted on Yahoo! with Kevin for 3 hours, then went out for a late meal with
elisandra,
gravity_ and
mahdi. Horrible service. I'm usually a stickler about tipping at least something, even if the service wasn't great, but I felt no qualms about leaving nothing for this man.
Sunday morning came and it was time for IKEA TREK 2004!!!! The drive up was quick and fun. The shopping was exciting. Lots of fake rooms with little hiding places to peek into. I did a credit card check before we left and determined that I had about $55 available credit. I spent $54. I got some wall shelves that will provide a temporary relief to my Barbie overflow situation. Also some trash cans, a pillow, a picture, a throw rug, Dajm candy, and Lingonberry drink mix. The drive back was slow and trafficky. There was much sleeping going on.
Once I got home, I popped back onto YM and talked to Kevin for a couple of hours more. He'll be here this weekend. I can't wait.
Spring break is on, so my evenings are my own except for Yoga Wednesday and Hidalgo (if I don't fall asleep before then). I can finish getting my room clean and organized. Exciting, no?
I hate daylight savings. My body doesn't adjust as quickly as it used to. It's really complaining right now for having dragged it out of bed at what it knew was really 5:30.
