A little treat for fans of Weight Watchers, or just fans of scary recipes from the 70's: I am so glad I'm not trying to lose weight in 1974.

I've made definite visible progress this weekend, and hopefully it's not the kind of progress that will come undone in a matter of weeks. See, for the first time since college, I have found enough space for my clothes and I know where they all go, so when I need to put them away, I can. I think. I still need to make a few adjustments for access sake (I'm too short for my closet), and I'm pretty sure I didn't leave enough space for my sweaters, which are all still in the laundry.

I did 5 loads of laundry Saturday, and I need to do a few more, but I ran out of quarters. I've changed a few dollar bills today, so I can do another load tonight.

I bought vacuum bags, but didn't get a chance to actually vacuum over the weekend. About all I managed in the main house was to clean up after the movie night and to run the dishwasher.

Saturday was spent working in the bedroom. Other than taking care of the clothing situation, which really has been the biggest problem, I didn't get much else done in there. I still need to sort through my ancient cassette and toss the ones that I know are unplayable, or that I have on CD also. I need to organize the books in there, which do have a space, they're just not in it properly. The computer area still needs work. I think I need to purge my ancient software collection as well. If the game was old in 1996, and I haven't played it since then either, it should go. The Barbie situation is hopeless. It would be less hopeless if I had the money to buy my Billy shelf on the upcoming IKEA trek, but sadly, I don't see that happening. So, I guess I just have to put them wherever I can until the time a solution is possible.

That leaves the corner shelf, which requires a little thought, and the 2 remaining boxes of crap. I'm too much of a packrat. I can't bear to toss all the cheap E*Trade swag from my cubicle there. Or my beanie-baby collection, also from my E*T cubicle. I suppose I should just bring it all in to work with me, and set it up here, but I just can't accept a desk decorating level of permanence at this job. I have a few things up, but nothing like before.

Oy. Too much work to do. But, at least it's now possible to navigate my bedroom without a sherpa.
