Yup. I'm a dork.
Mar. 27th, 2004 12:52 pmOnce again, I amaze myself with how long it has taken the simplest solution to a problem to reach my sad little brain. See, some months ago, one of my sliding closet doors fell off its track and I haven't been able to get it back on. So, I've had to deal with leaving it open, which allows the cats full access to prowl around amongst my clothes and my storage area, knock things over, perform acrobatic leaps from the top shelves, using hangers for springboards, etc.
Um. Did I mention that this was as sliding closet door? One of the kind with two doors, that both slide equally far in either direction? The structure of my closet, with the step-shelves on the left side, really only makes it convenient for me to open and enter from the right. I only need access through the left side if I have to pull something out of storage.
It finally occurred to me that if I shove the derailed right door over so that it's in the left position, I can use the left door to open and close the right side.
Sometimes, I want to kick my brain.
Meanwhile, I'm making progress in the bedroom cleaning department, although I have been a bad girl and I have consolidated box o'crap A with box o'crap B, instead of finding a home for the crap. But, at least I have one less box sitting in my room. And I've got time. I will go through it at some point, but for now, it seemed the best choice to immediately clear up the floor space.
Hrm. Laundry calls, I believe. I still need to shower, and possibly color my hair again before 3. Yes, again. Why is it that when I first decided to go red, I couldn't find a color that wouldn't fade to brown or blonde within a few weeks, and now, that I'm trying to get rid of the red, it just won't go away, or stay away. Well, there was a sale at Rite-Aid this morning and I got two bottles of Ash Brown for $5. If the first one fades back to the red, I'm ready with reinforcements.
