Morning. Hmm. I'm tired still. I was tired yesterday too. In fact, I got home from work, ate, and then couldn't stay awake any longer, so I took a nap. I set the alarm because I couldn't let myself call it a night at 6 pm. I had a bunch of job applications I needed to pull together to turn in today, before the filing date closed. I already missed the closing date on two other positions, but I wasn't really qualified for them, so I'm not overly distressed about it.

I can't let myself sleep tonight though. I've got writing I must do. I've got a Thursday deadline for [livejournal.com profile] dogs_breakfast and nothing prepared that I want to submit. I think I'm going to dive back into "The Girl Next Door" which is something I've been working on for several years, and I have a basic framework of the storyline written, but it needs a major rework to really make it feasible. But, if I'm going to take that dive, I need to start that tonight. Ah, peer pressure. Hell, if it works to get me motivated, then I'm all for it.

Of course, tonight, I also cook. Paprikash Potatoes. It's Kevin's recipe. He recommended halving the cayenne for my personal eating safety. I was looking at the ingredients and wondering if I just might quarter the cayenne. Oof. Now I'm making myself hungry. So, do I eat a banana or a granola bar, or do I cave to the bad food habit and seek out a vending machine that carries something puffed, greasy, and cheesy?

Or do I just admit that I spent my entire break writing this, and get my butt back to work, and worry about food later?
