Work Closed due to Rain

Wow. I haven't posted in forever. Four times in two months. How neglectful of me! December is pretty much the busiest month of the year for me what with work going crazy with New-Year requirements and all the birthday and holiday gatherings going on when not at work. Things are calmer now... I should make an effort to get back to the ol' blog. Perhaps on a day in which I get sent home from work because we lose power no fewer than six times over a 5 hour period. Oh yeah... that's today.

It's been a pretty exciting month or so, to say the least. November marked two years of me and Dave being together. We took a nice weekend "mini-vacation" to the Sonora area to celebrate. Stayed in a lovely historic hotel that supposedly had a ghost, and didn't have a television, and had an excellent dinner aboard the Golden Sunset Dinner Train. Unfortuntely, it was kind of rainy, so there wasn't much of a sunset.

December we helped tiggrrl & the_misha pack and move into their glorious new home, hosted a kick-ass double birthday party (Thanks again to all who came!!) attended the three day housewarming/holiday bash at the aforementioned glorious new home, made it to elisandra & mahdi's house for some lovely social interaction on Boxing Day, all while managing a series of 10-11 hour work days and the allover panic that sets in at the office at the end of the year.

All in all, I'm doing well. I've got some interesting changes on the work front coming over the next few months, I've got a stack of new books that I need to make time to read, and I've got an awesome family of friends, cats, and Dave.

2008 is looking wet, thus far, but I think once it dries up a little, it's going to be ok.
