too quiet here today

So, Sugar

I have been craving sugar like nobody's business for the last several days. Craving in the sense that I'd really like to sit down with a bag of Starburst Jelly Beans, an Entenmann's Lemon Crunch cake, a cheesecake, a Starbucks Lemon Bar, and a box of Le Pim's cookies, and eat all of it!

This is not conducive to dieting.

I keep reminding myself that I have some safe sweets at home in the form of Weight Watchers Cheesecake (which is pretty good, actually) but some evil person at work brought in a jug of jelly beans and left them on the community food table. I had one. I want more. I need more.

Anyone have legitimate suggestions for how to safely control sugar cravings. I'm sure it means there's something else missing in my diet, but I don't know what. It can't be sugar itself. I don't deny myself sugar. I've have little bits here and there regularly. Nothing dramatic has changed there.

Five forks even.

So I went upstairs to the vending machine to see if they had any of the little fruit snacks that I get sometimes, in an effort to curb the sugar demon.

Nope. But they had chocolate doughnuts and this really yummy looking pound cake.

The good news is I didn't eat the doughnuts.

The bad news is that the poundcake probably was my entire points quota for the week. And I still want jelly beans.
