Holiday Overkill

So,I'm talking on the phone to my sister the other night and she stops to talk to her daughter for a moment. I hear "no Terra, we only light two candles tonight, then three tomorrow..." I ask what they're talking about and she tells me that she and Terra are lighting Chanukah candles.

Um, Chryste? When did you become Jewish?

Turns out, they're also observing some of the ceremonies for Kwanzaa and Solstice in addition to the Christmas stuff.

I guess exposing Terra to a variety of customs and cultures is a good thing, but yikes, that's way too many holidays for one month in my book.
