Two Complaints

#1 Five for Fighting has been nominated for a Grammy as Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group. Wrong. Not a Group. He's a solo artist billing himself under a name that suggests a band. Next thing you know they'll be giving Jethro Tull the prize for Hard Rock Album of the Year. Oh, yeah, that already happened.

#2 I do not currently communicate on a regular basis with anyone who understands why the phrase, "Work it, Jesus! Shake it!" is funny.

I at least can fix #2.

I cracked up when I heard about this, especially considering that it was not for song or album, but for performance. Do these people live in a closet and only come out once a year to make these nominations? John Andrazic(?) thought it was pretty funny, too. I wonder if he'll accept the award on behalf of "the rest of the band"?

I'm just hoping that he won't actually win, since the song annoys me. Love the lyrics, sick to death of his voice.

Heard and witnessed. Agreed.

Not to mention the fact that I've been complaining about him billing himself as a band for months now. See what things happen when you're not honest with yourself about being a solo artist?
