Corporate Etiquette

What's the best way to inform a Manager (3-4 levels higher than oneself) that the guy in one's department who he's subtly checking out is married? Especially when said manager has not actually disclosed his sexual orientation to the person being grilled about the cute guy?

*shrug*

... work "him and his spouse" into the conversation with Sir Manager ...

... tell Sir Manager flat out, and when the subject comes up let him know that you have functioning gaydar (I can't get away with that-maintenance dept. won't certify my gaydar as operational ;-) )

... say nothing, get some popcorn, sit back, and watch the drama unfold ...

Depends on your relationships to either of them. If the manager in question is on friendly terms with you, just say so.

Otherwise, the best thing IMO is to stay the hell out of it.

Generally, the way to tell him is to *not* tell him. Subtle checking out doesn't matter much, and if he's looking for anything else he'll notice the wedding ring.

I say you get him by the watercooler and then ask real loud like:

"WHY'RE YOU SO CURIOUS? YOU GAY OR SOMTHIN'?"

Oh the joy!

Hmmm....

Do I know this manager? Feel like naming names? ;)
