Boredom. Help!
I'm bored with my CD collection. I need some new and different artists to liven it up. My musical tastes are eclectic to say the least. I have no interest in electronica/techno/trance, etc. or modern rap and R&B. Other than that, I'm pretty open to exploration.
So, please, recommend a band/artist/album you think I should give a try. Please tell me a little bit about the style if they're not someone you're sure that I've heard of.
Sex Pistols
Traveling Wilburys
Billy Joel
Guns n' Roses
John Lennon
Blues Brothers
Metallica
3rd Eye Blind
Debbie Gibson
The Kinks
John Cougar (pre-Mellencamp)
Shania Twain
Trio
10,000 Maniacs
Skid Row
MeatLoaf
Tempest
Fleetwood Mac
The Monkees
Depeche Mode
The Cure
The Partridge Family
Violent Femmes
The Pogues
Local bands: The Kimberly Trip, The Idlewild
